Warren Buffett Says 4 Choices in Life Separate the Doers From the Dreamers

Image
Now 90 years young, the Oracle of Omaha is still impressing with important life lessons. Ever read something Warren Buffett said or did and mumble to yourself, "Why didn't I think of that?" Outside of Buffett's mastery of investing, his down-to-earth wisdom is not only legendary but we all nod in agreement with the simple and yet profound effect it has on our lives. Take, for example, the advice below. Common sense, yes. But to many of us, it's not common practice. That is, until we become believers that the principles actually work. The Best Security Key for Multi-Factor Authentication

Image
Losing control of an online account to a digital intruder is a nightmare scenario. Multi-factor authentication (or MFA) is the best way to safeguard an account, because once MFA is enabled, an attacker won’t be able to access it—even if they have your username and password. A physical security key is the most secure MFA option, since it’s a dedicated authentication device and resistant to phishing. The Yubico Security Key C NFC is the best choice: It’s affordable and will work with just about every site that supports security keys. If you’re already familiar with security keys and need or want more-advanced features, the Yubico YubiKey 5C NFC is a pricier but worthwhile choice. Everything we recommend The Yubico Security Key C NFC is a well-made key that’s compatible with nearly all sites and services that support security keys. Its USB-C connector and NFC support work with most modern desktops, laptops, and mobile devices, so you can log in securely anywhere. Combined with Yubic...

Basic display on the Apple Watch Ultra with Oceanic+ app The Apple Watch Ultra, which goes on sale on 23 September, can be used as a dive-computer at depths down to 40m with the addition of a new version of the Oceanic+ app already used with iPhones. The £849 Ultra is certified to WR100 (waterproof to 5 bar), twice the resistance of the Apple Watch Series 8, to allow it to be used with air or nitrox at normal recreational scuba depths. It is also certified to EN13319, the international standard for depth gauges and other dive accessories.  The watch has its own basic built-in Depth app, which shows current time, depth and maximum depth while under water (to a maximum 40m), but Apple has also linked up with Huish Outdoors, which owns the Oceanic brand, to turn the Apple Watch Ultra into what they both describe as a “capable dive-computer”. Safety stop guidance The Oceanic+ app is based on a Bühlmann decompression algorithm. The watch’s new Action button can be programmed to l...
